About Dive Desinations

I had my first introduction to snorkeling over 25 years ago.  While on a temporary assignment in Boca Raton, FL I met young man who was quite intriguing.  Before I knew it I was outfitted with a mask, snorkel and fins, learning to snorkel

((To be honest, this first foray into snorkeling was more due to my interest in this young man.))

Not long after that we were married and convinced me that I would love diving.  I took a rather extensive PADI course while we lived in Colorado but I refused to get my certification in a dark, cold lake in the mountins! :o )

We ended up visiting my parents who were living on a sailboat off of St. John and I was certified in the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean!

[Sidenote: This is the way to get certified! You will absolutely love it!]

After we started a family, diving trips were pretty rare.  Now we are looking into family opportunities to dive since the kids are teens.  I will be posting on our experiences as well as provide other great resources and tips from the experts.

adventurous places to dive. We had a great time.

Now we two teens who have an interest in diving. OUr criteria is much different.  We also

look for a place that provides a nice family environment as well. Until they get

comfortable with diving, I want a calm, safe dive location.
