   The first 3 minutes is the opener, filmed previously, that most likely everyone will get on their video of their scuba diving adventure. The next 5:47 seconds is actually the pod (dive team) we were apart of. At 3:00 min in exactly, you will see me on the far right, and and my partner next to me. From then, you’ll see us throughout the remaining of the video.

   ok, I just did this dive on Friday and bought the video too. I am trying to upload it to youtube but it is separated into a bunch of different files. How did you get yours to upload? Help, my family is dying to see the video and I can’t seem to figure it out.

   I used DVDShrink to copy the files to my harddrive, and then I used “Windows Movie Maker” to convert the files, and combine the two I wanted, into a format that YT would accept.

   You can find this and much more information out on the GA Aquarium website under the FAQ for the Dive Program. However, to answer your question directly:

   All participants must be age 12 and older. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. The SCUBA option is open to all certified divers. Proof of SCUBA certification from a nationally or internationally recognized organization must be provided, along with photo identification.

   It’s initially a feeling of suspense and excitement. Once you get down, everything becomes very serene. You will forget about all the concerns almost immediately. That’s how diving is in general. It’s the most amazing and peaceful thing one can ever experience.

    well yes, that i know. i have gone diving before. i just meant the fact that there are a couple of sharks and stingrays…that’s a little bit terrifying for me! haha

    Glad you enjoyed it. I use to work at the aquarium., but I paid for the whale shark scuba dive. I did it on the first day. Very fun.

    I wish I can scuba dive but I’m not a good swimmer (even though I have been having dreams about it). Was your class certified divers?

    Scuba diving and swimming are similar but different. You actually don’t have to be a great swimmer to scuba dive, but you should learn to swim decently, naturally, and most all certifications require it.

    You have to be certified to dive at the GA Aquarium.

    You don’t have to dive with them, you can swim. (I can’t dive, medical stuff.) I just did the swim (see “Dana swims with the whale sharks”) and it was almost effortless. And AMAZING! I can’t say enough about the staff and the facilities at the Georgia Aquarium. I absolutely recommend this program. Great video, Bubba! I can’t wait to go there again. I still can’t believe they actually let me do this…

    haha me and my friend went there last summer, we didn’t dive though): we’re both certified and i really wanted to dive, but it was expensive haha.

    Thanks for the votes on my video! I did not intend to take it off the video response so I put it back up. I guess when I posted at the GA Aquarium, it took off the link from your video. It was after seeing your video that inspired me to take my own and to try my hand at iMovie…thanks! While the footage is awesome, it does not do the experience justice…like you said in your posts, if one has the chance and resources to do it, they should. A lifetime memory! Cheers!!!
