could anybody tell me how long it might take to become certified in diving? and to what extent they teach you during certification?

  • papatya1974:

Sure.. you can either join CMAS or PADI system to become a scuba diver.. I prefer the PADI system. You first become an “Open water “diver diving up to 18 meters then an “advance water diver” up to 30 meters .. afterwards is you wish to continue you can become a “technical Diver ” to dive up to 50 meters and afterwards a “trimix diver” to dive beyond….this is according to the PADI system .just find a PADI certified dive center close to you – in order to learn how to scuba dive.

i did mine in a 3 day period, about 8 hours a day. we did most of the learning in a pool, then we went to a lake. get the cert, it is a great way to spend the day.
